If you are one of the lucky ones to own an Xbox One, Microsoft have announced that Minecraft will be available from this Friday. If you purchased Minecraft for the 360, you will be able to upgrade to the newer version for just £3.99. The price of the full game is being released at £15.99. Unfortunately we haven’t heard any news from Playstation about this although Mojang’s Daniel Kaplan tweeted that the PS4 version should be released “later on today”.

All of your current worlds can be transferred over to the newer edition of the game which is great. You won’t have to start again from scratch. The same add-on content will also be available.

The Xbox One Edition will also be available in stores on disk for those who don’t want to download the game but you will have to wait until later on in the year.

A PS Vita version is also going to be available but we have no idea if it will be released alongside the PS4’s version.
